Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro were launched in Europe under the 17 series lineup. Both these devices come beneath the Xiaomi 17, which was already launched in India earlier this year. The Xiaomi 17T is the more affordable variant but still features Leica-branded camera sensors. Meanwhile, the 17T Pro comes equipped with a better processor, larger battery capacity, and more. While the Xiaomi 17T will be launched in India on June 4, Xiaomi has not made any announcement regarding the India launch date of the Xiaomi 17T Pro.
The Xiaomi 17T begins from 749 Euros (Rs. 83,400 approx.), whereas the Xiaomi 17T Pro begins from 899 Euros (Rs. 1,00,000 approx.). Both smartphones come in different color options. The Xiaomi 17T is available in four color options: Black, Violet, Blue, and Opal White. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is offered in Black, Deep Blue, and Deep Violet.
The Xiaomi 17T's camera is its strongest aspect. The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Its telephoto lens zoom is even greater than that of the more expensive Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra. With this, users can expect sharper long-range shots, better portrait photography, and flexible framing options in different lighting conditions.
Furthermore, this camera setup is supported by the 'Leica Complete Camera system' and offers a focal range of 15mm to 115mm with its 0.6x to 5x optical zoom. To appeal to mobile photographers, Xiaomi is also offering creative shooting modes like Silhouette, Flame, and Fireworks on this smartphone. On the front, it has a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calling. For video recording, the Xiaomi 17T supports 4K 60fps HDR10 recording with optical image stabilization (OIS).
Xiaomi 17T uses a chipset called MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra alongside the Xiaomi Surge T1 Plus and T1S chipsets. The smartphone features a 3D Ice Loop cooling mechanism for maintaining stable performance while gaming, making 4K videos, or running applications. Xiaomi claims that the device also features Astro Communication, which provides offline connectivity ranging up to 1.3 kilometers under specific conditions.

The display screen measures 6.59 inches with an AMOLED panel, a resolution of 1.5K pixels, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, 100% DCI-P3 color range, 120Hz refresh rate, and maximum brightness of up to 3,500 nits. While the 17T is not a small smartphone when it comes to the screen size, it still feels good to operate in one-hand mode.
This smartphone features a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is larger than the standard Xiaomi 17, and supports 67W fast charging. Despite this large battery, the handset weighs around 200 grams, which is quite manageable for daily use. On the software front, the smartphone runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out-of-the-box, which offers several ecosystem-focused features, including iPhone integration, AirPods support, and Xiaomi's enhanced Hyper Island feature.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro further improves performance with the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. The smartphone features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it an attractive option for mobile gamers. To back this up, the handset packs a large 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro's camera setup is largely identical to the vanilla Xiaomi 17T, with a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 5x telephoto lens. However, Xiaomi has replaced the primary sensor for the Pro model with the flagship Light Fusion 950, the same as the Xiaomi 17. This will give the smartphone an edge over the Xiaomi 17T in capturing finer details.
The rest of the smartphone's features are largely similar to the Xiaomi 17T, including an IP68/IP69-rated water and dust resistance design, a square-shaped camera deco, and flat edges.
