Police have arrested six people for allegedly attacking two Scheduled Caste youths, stripping them, and urinating on them in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. Police said that all the people arrested in this case were in the age group of 21 to 25 years and were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
In Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, a case of two Scheduled Caste youths being allegedly attacked and stripped of their clothes and urinating on them has come to light. A total of six people have been arrested in this case. Police gave this information on Thursday.
Police said that all the people arrested in this case were in the age group of 21 to 25 years, and were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. Police said they all attacked the youth and also asked them to reveal their caste identity.
According to the police, after revealing their identities, a gang of six attacked the two youths. During this, the accused removed their clothes and urinated on them. Thatchanallur police said the two youths were returning after taking a bath in the Thamirabarani river. Police further said that all were booked under various sections of the IPC including the SC/ST Atrocities Act.
