Tamil actor Lokesh Rajendran commits suicide: was suffering from depression due to divorce, used to sleep at the bus stand
Tamil television actor Lokesh Rajendran committed suicide at the age of 34. The entire industry is shocked by this news. According to the police, Lokesh had become addicted to alcohol due to his family issues and was often seen sleeping at the Chennai Mufassil Bus Terminus (CMBT). After the death of the police, a case has been registered under section 174 of CrPC.
Police said, 'On Monday (October 3), passengers at the bus terminus noticed that he was not well. Some of them dialled 108 for an ambulance and also informed the police. He was then taken to the Government Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital. However, he passed away on the night of Tuesday 4 October. Lokesh was married and has two children.
Disclosing this, Lokesh's father K said, 'I came to know a few months back that there had been some misunderstanding between Lokesh and his wife. Then Lokesh's wife had also sent him divorce papers four days ago. Because of this, he was depressed. I last saw him on Friday. That day he told me that he needed some money. I gave it to him too. Lokesh had told us that he would now start working as an editor.
Lokesh was a popular Tamil TV actor. Lokesh got recognition as a child artist in the serial 'Marmadesham'. He worked in about 150 serials. Apart from this, he was also seen with Tamil's top actors Vijayakanth, Prabhu and others. He has also acted in about 15 films.
