The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 went on sale all over the world yesterday. The new product comes from the company's range of mini-cameras used for making vlogs. It has some important improvements compared to its predecessor, such as increased sensor size, improved stabilization, and advanced video recording options. The manufacturer emphasizes that the device is created specifically for vloggers and filmmakers, offering high-quality images and versatile video capabilities.
In Europe, the basic version of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 costs EUR 499 (approximately ₹54,600), whereas the 'Creator Combo' variant will cost you EUR 619 (approximately ₹67,700). This bundle includes a DJI Mic 3 transmitter, a fill light, a wide-angle lens, and an Osmo Mini tripod.
This action camera is available for purchase in Europe and select markets. However, it's not available in the US due to ongoing restrictions on camera equipment manufactured in foreign markets.
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 features a 1-inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, a significant upgrade over previous generations. DJI claims this larger sensor is designed to improve low-light performance, dynamic range, and overall image quality. This camera supports 4K video recording at 120fps and high-bitrate recording, which delivers rich detail in the footage.
It features a 3-axis mechanical gimbal. It is said to offer improved stabilization for smooth handheld shots even during movement. This handheld camera also includes enhanced subject tracking, which automatically keeps the subject in frame during recording.

The Osmo Pocket 4 also supports vertical shooting, with a built-in touchscreen display for quick framing and control. According to DJI, these features make it well-suited for social media content. For post-production flexibility, it also features D-Log M and 10-bit color recording. Users can start recording by simply rotating the screen, while two new buttons at the bottom allow for dedicated zooming and switching between custom presets. It also features a 5D joystick, allowing creators to rotate the camera backward, re-center the gimbal, and flip the camera.
This new DJI camera features 107GB of built-in storage. It supports transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s without a memory card. Audio has also been upgraded, with support for DJI Mic integration and improved onboard microphones for clearer voice capture. It also features AI-powered features like ActiveTrack improvements and smart shooting modes.
The action camera supports fast charging and offers longer battery life than its predecessor. On a full charge, it can record 1080p footage at 240 fps for up to 240 minutes. The camera can charge from zero to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, providing up to 3 hours of video recording time.
