Supreme Court judge spoke on the change, India is the first country in the world to adopt an environment-centric approach
Environment: Supreme Court judge Justice P.S. Narasimha, while reacting to the good change, said that India is the first country in the world to adopt an environment-centric approach. Let us tell you that Judge Narasimha made this comment in a program organized by NGT at Vigyan Bhavan.

Judge of the Supreme Court Justice P.S. Narasimha has said that India is the first country in the field of international law, which pursues an eco-centric approach instead of anthropocentric thinking. Justice P.S. Narasimha was speaking at the valedictory session of the two-day National Conference on Environment-2025 organized by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) at Vigyan Bhavan. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was the chief guest at the function.
The human-centered approach sees the environment only in terms of human needs, while the environment-centered approach sees nature as having value in itself, not just for human use. Justice Narasimha said that Indian culture has always considered the environment an important part of life. He said that for the first time, the Supreme Court accepted his argument that the environment should not be seen only from the perspective of human interest, but a broader approach should be adopted.
He said, 'If we return to our roots and adopt our traditional simple measures, then we can restore the earth to its natural state by moving away from the ideas imposed on the environment by the Western world and with our original and practical ideas.'
