'Success of the lunar mission changed the perception of foreigners', Jaishankar told the strength of India at Delhi University
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed an event at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University on Monday. During this, he said that after seeing the way India handled the Covid-19 pandemic, the perception of people living abroad has changed. India's lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 has had a huge impact on Indians living abroad.
The External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, spoke at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, on Monday, at an event titled "Integration of Northeast India with Southeast Asia and Japan: Balancing economic ties and ecological conservation."
In the programme, the Minister of External Affairs stated that the North-Eastern States were cut off from their inherent connectivity as a result of India's partition. Moreover, administrative and political limitations had an impact on the growth of this industry.
Speaking to university students, Jaishankar said, "The partition of India in many ways broke the natural connectivity that the Northeast had or would have had. It slowed down the level of development that the Northeast should have seen." "After this, in the first few decades after partition, due to political constraints and administrative issues, the Northeast did not get the same benefits as other parts of the country."
