Shukri Conrad is the new head coach of all the formats of the men's team of South Africa. This announcement was made by Cricket South Africa (CSA) over social media on Friday. He served as the Test cricket coach of the team of men of South Africa since January 2023, but after the resignation of Rob Walter from the designation, he will now become the head coach of the ODI and T20 teams of the country.

CSA declared that Conrad has been appointed until the 2027 Men's ODI World Cup, which will take place in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Under the leadership of Conrad, the team of South Africa is set to take on Australia in the ICC World Test Championship final, which shall be staged from 11-15 June at the legendary Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

A post issued by Cricket South Africa (CSA) said that it is pleased to announce the appointment of Shukri Conrad as the head coach of all formats of the Proteas men's team. Conrad, who has led the Test team since January 2023, will now take charge of the white-ball formats starting with the T20 International Tri-Series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand in July. The 58-year-old Conrad will oversee the national team in all formats until the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027, which will be hosted on home soil.

In this regard, Conrad said, "I am truly honored to be given the responsibility of leading the national team in all three formats. Coaching the Test team has been the biggest honor of my cricket journey, and now overseeing the white-ball teams is also incredibly special. I am really excited about the possibilities ahead." Conrad said, "During this period, planning will be important for us as we look to manage our player base to ensure that the strongest teams can take the field in every format. We definitely want to be the best in the world in all three forms of the game and this is undoubtedly my number one goal and goal for the Proteas."
