Rajasthan Weather Forecast: Jaipur, Bikaner and Churu to Face Intense Heat Next Week

While Rajasthan has received some relief from the scorching heat, the Meteorological Department has warned of a rapid rise in temperatures again in the next few days. Maximum temperatures in all cities across the state have currently dropped below 45 degrees Celsius, but a severe heatwave is expected to return in western Rajasthan from May 24th.

The Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for several districts from May 24th. A yellow heatwave alert will also be issued for seven districts on May 23rd. According to experts, temperatures may rise by 2 to 3 degrees in the next 48 to 72 hours.

The western districts, including Bikaner, Churu, Phalodi, Chittorgarh, and Sriganganagar, will probably experience the maximum number of heatwaves during the coming week. As per information issued by the Meteorological Department, these regions will continue to face high temperatures at both day and night time, leading to 'warm night' phenomenon. Also, heatwaves may persist in Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa and surrounding areas of eastern and northern Rajasthan.

Sriganganagar, which recorded maximum temperature for two consecutive days, received showers on Saturday morning. The showers brought some respite from the excessive heat and scorching sunlight, although experts believe that it is unlikely to last for long, as the hot weather might prevail for the next few days.
