Rajasthan Sizzles as Barmer Hits Season’s Highest Temperature at 48.3°C
Severe heat wave wreaks havoc in Rajasthan: The impact of the intense heat wave in Rajasthan is steadily increasing. The temperature in Barmer has reached 48.3 degrees Celsius and is expected to reach 50 degrees Celsius in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has issued a red heatwave alert for Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Phalodi.



The heatwave in Rajasthan is escalating day by day. As per reports, Barmer was reported to be the hottest city in India for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, recording an intense heat wave of 48.3 degrees Celsius. It was stated to be the highest recorded temperature in the current season.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued an intense heatwave warning at Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Phalodi regions of Rajasthan. As per recommendations, people were advised not to step out during peak hours. It was further forecasted that there would be intense heat and heatwave conditions prevailing in the western districts of the state for the next three days.
On Tuesday, temperatures in all major cities of Rajasthan were recorded above 40 degrees Celsius. Hot winds and heatwaves have exacerbated the hardships of residents in the western and southern districts.
