The Bharatiya Janata Party will conduct two special campaigns 'Vibhishika Smriti Diwas' and 'Har Ghar Tiranga' on the occasion of Independence Day this year with the objective of increasing the emotional bond with people. The party has arranged these campaigns with the historical dates of 14 August and 15 August in mind.

BJP State President Madan Rathore stated in an interaction with the media on Sunday that India gained independence on 15 August, but the partition that occurred a day earlier on 14 August 1947 gave deep wounds on the life of crores of Indians. It was not only a partition of land, but of dreams, emotions, and the earnings of life.

Recalling the struggles of the refugees who came to India from Pakistan during the partition, he said that lakhs of people had left everything behind - their homes, shops, houses, and dreams. “The honour of our sisters and daughters and the lives of our children were at stake. Today's generation should know and understand that pain.

He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has tried to give a respectable life to those displaced people and now it is the duty of every Indian to strengthen the unity and integrity of the country.

Rathore said that under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, the party will go to the booth level and distribute national flags in every house. He urged the common citizens to rise above political ideologies and give respect to the tricolour and hoist it with pride on their homes and establishments.

On this occasion, BJP Minority Morcha National President Jamal Siddiqui also gave a statement saying that even today we have not fully learnt a lesson from the tragedy of partition. The power-hungry wolves are still trying to divide the country. We have to be vigilant and strengthen the nation by uniting.
