Though AI is currently the focus, all of the global and national tech behemoths are investigating the opportunities in the Indian market. President of Qualcomm India Savi Soin, meanwhile, stated that India has a fantastic chance to lead the world in hybrid artificial intelligence (AI) innovation. In order to facilitate the release of entry-level 5G smartphones, the California-based chip designer is collaborating with OEMs and carriers in India. In response, a senior corporate representative stated that India is a country that has experienced growth in all spheres of society. The business states that it is searching for export and Indian market opportunities.

The company is preparing a new chipset, which will be able to launch 5G smartphones at a price of less than $100 (about Rs 8000). Qualcomm is working with all operators in India to help bring entry-level 5G smartphones and believes such technology should be available to the masses.

Describing Reliance Jio as a strategic partner for Qualcomm, Soin said, "We are also working with them on fixed wireless and their initial 4G devices." He further said that we are taking many initiatives with Jio, they are a very strategic partner for us.

Qualcomm started its first office in India in 1996 in Delhi. Its engineering development centers in Bengaluru and Hyderabad were opened in 2004. The company's engineering presence in the country has now expanded to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Noida along with offices in Gurugram and Mumbai.

The Bangalore Development Center is host to a 5G Innovation Lab, which has supported many Indian customers and startups on their 5G solution and product development journey.
