The Aditya Mehta Foundation and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi held a special ceremony to honor para-athletes who recently achieved outstanding results at both the World Ability Games and Asian Games, including several who qualified for the 2024 Paralympics. The event was graced by distinguished guests like actress and producer Ms. Lakshmi Manchu, past Mrs. India and entrepreneur Ms. Shilpa Reddy, NMDC CMD Shri Amitava Mukherjee, and JNV South Region Head Dy. Commissioner Shri T. Gopalkrishna. Mr. Aditya Mehta, founder of the Aditya Mehta Foundation, was also present.

Several talented athletes were recognized for their impressive feats. Jyoti (15) secured bronze medals in javelin and shot put, with a silver in discus throw. Prashant brought home a bronze in handcycling, while Venu dominated the discus throw with a gold medal. Shiva (16) shone with a gold in javelin and a silver in shot put, and Janu (15) impressed with a bronze in javelin. Shivani (15) doubled her glory with gold medals in both shot put and javelin, and Khusbhoo (15) demonstrated her skill with a silver medal in parashooting, notably competing in the senior mixed category at a young age. Adding to the excitement, Arshad and Jyoti have proudly secured their spots at the 2024 Paralympics.

The Aditya Mehta Foundation further emphasized its commitment to para-athlete development by presenting training equipment worth Rs. 1.5 crores, including artificial limbs, wheelchairs, and customized sporting gear. Recognition was also given to the long-term sponsors who played a crucial role in supporting these athletes' journeys: NMDC, UST, United Way of Hyderabad, Mudhra Trust, and Gmmco, in association with Jawahar Vidyalaya Samithi.
