Now only Reels on Facebook, Meta has discontinued this video format
Facebook: Meta is now renaming Facebook's old Video tab to Reels tab, although the name will change, Meta says that video suggestions will still be based on the user's interests and their behavior.

From now on, only Reels-format videos will be posted and displayed on Facebook. Making the announcement, Meta said all videos posted on Facebook in the future, whether in long or short formats, would be posted as Reels alone. It has done this in the direction of totally altering the way video content is created and consumed by users.
So far, Facebook users have had the option whether they wish to add a video as a reel or as a regular video post. Both had different editing facilities, but now, after this directive of Meta, the reel vs regular video post distinction would cease to exist. Now, all the videos would be dealt with through a different system where the limitation on the reel's duration as well as on the reel's format would also be abolished.
Till now, Reels on Facebook were only vertical and short in duration, but now Meta will also allow them to be converted into long and horizontal videos. Along with this, privacy settings and publishing controls will also be changed.
Meta says that now the audience settings for both Feed and Reels will be the same, that is, the privacy settings chosen by the user will apply to all video content. When this new system is implemented, users will be asked to review their privacy settings and make changes as needed. This will ensure that the videos reach only those viewers whom you want to show, be it friends, a special group, or the general public.
