Xiaomi 17T India Launch Confirmed for June 4: Dimensity 8500 Ultra, 6,500 mAh Battery, Leica Cameras
The Xiaomi 17T series will be launched globally. The standard model will be introduced in India early next week.
Xiaomi’s 17T series will be introduced in certain global markets on Thursday. Its standard variant will be launched in India next month. A microsite for India’s launch of the product has already been launched. An update to the microsite has provided further information about the Xiaomi 17T, specifically regarding its chipset and battery capacity. The Xiaomi 17T will feature a Mediatek octa-core Dimensity 8000 series chipset. Both devices in the 17T series are equipped with the Mediatek chipset, whereas all other 17 series models come with a 3nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The updated microsite for the Xiaomi 17T now confirms that the handset will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. This same processor also powers the Redmi Turbo 5, which is confirmed to launch in the country soon.
Furthermore, the tech firm has revealed that the Xiaomi 17T will feature a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W wired fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, the company claims that its display will come with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, Circadian Friendly, and Intelligent Eye Care certifications. The handset will also feature a punch-hole display cutout for the front camera.
