PM Modi Oath Ceremony: Modi is the first non-Congress politician after the independence of the country who has become the Prime Minister for the third time in a row. Apart from the Prime Minister, 30 cabinet ministers, seven ministers of state (independent charge), and 34 ministers of state have taken oath in the cabinet. Social balance has also been taken care of in the cabinet. 27 ministers from the OBC community, 10 from the Scheduled Caste, 5 from the Scheduled Tribe, and 5 from the minority community have been made ministers.


After the victory of the NDA in the Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time in a row on Sunday. Modi is the first non-Congress politician after the independence of the country who has become the Prime Minister for the third time in a row. Apart from the Prime Minister, 30 cabinet ministers, seven ministers of state (independent charge), and 34 ministers of state have taken oath in the cabinet. Social balance has also been taken care of in the cabinet.
27 ministers from the OBC community, ten from the Scheduled Caste, five from the Scheduled Tribe, and five from the minority community have been appointed. Nine new cabinet members have been appointed. Seven leaders from India's neighbouring Indian Ocean area attended the swearing-in ceremony. Many prominent figures from the country also attended the event.
President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to Modi during a magnificent event at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He took an oath in the name of God. With this, he tied the record of the country's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, who became Prime Minister three times in succession.
Along with Modi, senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Chauhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal and S Jaishankar took oath as cabinet ministers, which is a sign of the Prime Minister's emphasis on continuity and experience. All these leaders were also in senior positions in the second term of the Modi government. Party President JP Nadda returned to the cabinet after five years. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and former Haryana CM Manohar Lal are new faces in the Modi cabinet.
