BJP leader and actor Mithun Chakraborty has once again claimed that 21 MLAs of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) are in "direct contact" with him. Actor-turned-politician Mithun said- There is an objection within the party to taking Trinamool leaders. Many leaders say that we will not take rotten potatoes. To this, I have said that I will not repeat the same mistake.
In a press conference at the BJP office in Kolkata on Saturday, Chakraborty said- 21 TMC MLAs are still in touch with me, I had said this before and am saying it again. I stand by my word. Just wait for the time. Please tell that Mithun reached the city on Saturday for Durga Puja. Earlier, he also held a meeting with BJP leaders.
During the press conference, he was asked whether the number of TMC's willing MLAs has increased. To this Chakraborty replied – I will not tell you the exact number, but I can say that the number is not less than 21.
Mithun Chakraborty also commented on the recent statement of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Mamta had said that she feels that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not behind the misuse of central agencies. To this Mithun Chakraborty replied – I think he is right. PM is not doing this. Court has given a decision. what can we do?
Mithun said that Mamata Banerjee will have to tell what wrong the BJP Bengal Brigade has done to you. I said this before if you haven't done anything wrong if you are clean, you can go home and sleep peacefully. Nothing will happen to you, but if any evidence is found against you then no one even the Prime Minister or the President can save you.
