A key aide to former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson formally resigned on Saturday. In the resignation letter, he has made a scathing attack on his successor.
Former culture minister Nadine Dorries announced her resignation 11 weeks ago. However, during this time she remained a Member of Parliament. In her resignation letter, Dorries has accused Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of abandoning the 'core principles of conservatism'. Doris told Sunak, 'History will not judge you.'
In Johnson's resignation honors list, Dorries was unexpectedly not given a seat in the House of Lords, the upper house of parliament. For this Sunak and Downing Street accused him of interfering.
