High-speed truck collides with car, 13 killed and three injured; bodies removed with crane
Rajasthan News: 13 people died in two road accidents in Rajasthan on Sunday. The first incident took place in Bundi at around 4 am on Sunday. The second incident took place in Sirohi late at night around 10 pm. In the collision between a truck and a jeep, six people traveling in the jeep died on the spot while more than 10 people were injured.
Two road accidents in Rajasthan have claimed as many as 13 lives in a day while leaving 13 others injured. In the first incident reported early Sunday at around 4 am in Bundi district, seven passengers traveling in a car died while three others sustained serious injuries when their speeding vehicle collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. One of the three injured is said to be in critical condition.
The collision was such that the bodies trapped in the car could only be removed with great difficulty with the help of a crane. The car passengers were traveling from Dewas to Sikar, visiting Khatushyam ji. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of those who have died.
Second incident In Sirohi, the jeep collided with the truck around 10 pm. More than six passengers riding in the jeep were killed on the spot, while more than 10 people have been injured. According to police, all the people traveling by jeep were residents of Udaipur and were going to work as laborers. The injured have been admitted to Sirohi District Hospital.
