Had to go to Ahmedabad to reach Lahore, Indigo's plane got lost in Pakistan due to bad weather; India returned safely

An Indigo Airlines flight from Amritsar to Ahmedabad reached Lahore in Pakistan due to bad weather and got lost. According to the information, it had reached Gujranwala before returning back to Indian airspace. However, nothing untoward happened to the aircraft during this period.
Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported that according to the flight radar, the Indian aircraft had entered Lahore at around 7.30 pm on Saturday, after which it returned to India at 8.01 pm. The airline is yet to comment on the matter.
According to the report, a senior official of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that this is normal practice, as it is allowed internationally in bad weather conditions. For example, in May a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight entered Indian airspace due to bad weather and got stuck for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, several flights were diverted and delayed due to poor visibility at airports in Pakistan. A CAA spokesperson said the weather warning for Lahore was extended till 11.30 pm on Saturday as the visibility at Allama Iqbal International Airport was 5,000 meters.
According to information, parts of Pakistan received rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder on Saturday evening. The worst affected areas were three adjoining districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, where around 29 people were killed.
