Google launches AI mode for search, will get support of Gemini 2.0
Gemini: Google One AI Premium subscribers will also be invited to experience this feature. The filter of AI Mode will appear at the top of the search results page, followed by 'All', 'Images', 'News', 'Maps', and other tabs. Users can switch to this new AI mode after searching Google.

Google has launched a new AI feature 'AI Mode' in its search engine. This new feature was tested internally last month and has now been released to limited users. AI Mode will be especially useful for complex topics and multi-faceted queries (searches with many levels), which are usually found after multiple searches. Apart from this, Google is also updating AI Overviews, which will now be equipped with the Gemini 2.0 model.
Google said in a blog post that AI Mode is an extension of the existing AI Overviews feature of Google Search. It comes with improved reasoning, thinking, and multimodal capabilities, allowing users to get in-depth analysis, comparison, and logical answers.
This feature is currently in limited release in Google Labs. Google One AI Premium subscribers will be invited to use this feature too. AI Mode filter will appear on top of the search results page, followed by 'All', 'Images', 'News', 'Maps', and other tabs. This new AI Mode can be switched to by users after searching Google.
AI Mode is powered by Gemini 2.0, a more advanced model that can process more complicated questions. Outcomes will be multimodal (images, tables, text) and users can pose additional questions to get more information on a topic.
The AI Mode uses 'query fan-out' technology to provide more detailed information by searching multiple sub-topics at a time. Google has added that AI Mode will only show results where it is absolutely sure about high quality and relevance.
