Google's Gemini app is moving ahead rapidly in the race of artificial intelligence in India. Google India Vice President and Site Lead Shekhar Khosla recently updated on LinkedIn that now the active monthly users of Gemini have gone past 450 million (45 crores). Its usage each day has also grown 50% from the previous quarter.
This enhancement has arrived at a time when Google has provided significant relief to Indian students. Students who are 18 years or older can avail the premium service of Gemini AI Pro for free until September 15, 2025, which is Rs 19,500 per year.
As part of this subscription, users have access to advanced AI tools such as Gemini 2.5 Pro, Deep Research, and Veo 3, along with features such as Flow and Notebook LM.
