Cat lost at airport, Air-India accused of negligence: The woman was going from Delhi to Imphal with two cats

A lady passenger's cat got lost at Delhi IGI airport. A female passenger named Jangneichong Karong was travelling from Delhi to Imphal with two pet cats on an Air India flight on April 24. He was not allowed to travel with the cats, after which he put both the cats in a cage and handed them over to the cargo.
Shortly before boarding the lady learned that a cat was lost. After this, he had to travel with only one cat. The woman has accused Air India of negligence for this and demanded action. The woman's friend has tweeted this whole matter. He has also tagged Ratan Tata in the tweet.
According to media reports, Karong reached the airport at 6.30 am on April 24 for a 9.55 flight. However, she was told at the check-in counter that she would have to reschedule the flight or travel in business class if she wanted to take the cat into the cabin. If they do not choose either of these two options, then cats will have to be sent by cargo.
Karong told that there was no option to reschedule the flight and could not get a seat even in business class, so had to choose the option of cargo. He further added that the cats were caged and handed over to them in the presence of the airline personnel. But it is surprising that a cat got out of it and disappeared. Karong told that there were only 7 minutes left for boarding due to which he had to take the flight with only one cat.
Karong sent a complaint via email to the airline regarding the incident. It was a distressing affair and I have still not gotten over it, she wrote in the email. One of my cats has gone missing. I am facing physical and mental problems due to the negligence of the staff. Action should be taken on this.
At the same time, Air India replied on this whole matter and said, we sympathize with you on this incident. Our team will get in touch with your friend regarding this matter. Air India has asked Karong to share ticket details.
