Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will lead the World Economic Forum meeting, showing India's diversity and unity
WEF: The Indian delegation includes five Union Ministers, three Chief Ministers, and ministers of many states as well as about 100 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), government, civil society, and giants associated with the fields of arts and culture.
The five-day meetings of the World Economic Forum (WEF) are starting in Davos on Monday. A glimpse of the unity of India's diversity will be seen in these meetings. The rich and powerful people of the world will gather at the WEF from Monday. This time India is sending its largest ever team to Davos. The Indian delegation includes five Union Ministers, three Chief Ministers, and ministers of many states as well as about 100 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), government, civil society, and giants associated with the fields of arts and culture.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will lead the Indian delegation. Before leaving for Davos, he said, "There is a lot of interest in the World Economic Forum to understand our thought process, the economic policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, digital transformation, and the way India has created a new digital infrastructure under the Digital India program." Four other Union Ministers CR Patil, Chirag Paswan, Jayant Chaudhary, and K Ram Mohan Naidu will also attend the meeting in the Indian delegation.
Besides these, Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana Devendra Fadnavis, N Chandrababu Naidu, and A Revanth Reddy will also attend the meeting respectively. Senior ministers of many other states including Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Tamil Nadu's TR B Raja, Kerala's P Rajeev will also be present in the Davos meeting. The Maharashtra government has targeted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 7 lakh crore during the WEF annual meeting. At the same time, Telangana Chief Minister Reddy is in search of his share of investment along with his cabinet colleague D Sridhar Babu and senior officials.
