Brazil: Corinthians football team fans bus met with an accident, 7 people died on the spot; many injured

A bus carrying fans of the Brazilian football team Corinthians crashed after a match in the city of Belo Horizonte. According to the information received by the police, about seven people died and 36 others were injured in this accident.

All seven of those killed were members of Gavios da Fiel, a Corinthians supporters' club. They had come from the city of Taubate, in northeastern Sao Paulo state, to watch their team's 1-1 draw with Cruzeiro in the Brazilian championship game on Saturday evening.

Passengers told local media that the bus lost control and overturned in an attempt to avoid a head-on collision with another bus. Corinthians said in a statement that it would give aid to the families of the victims. Other Brazilian clubs also expressed their grief over the accident.
