Rajasthan News: Senior IAS Alok of the Rajasthan cadre died on Monday. He was posted as the Additional Chief of the Energy Department of the state, and was ill for a long time. Many leaders, including Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, have expressed grief over the death of Alok.

Rajasthan cadre IAS Alok died on Monday after a long illness. He was working as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department in Rajasthan. However, he was not coming to the office for a long time due to illness. Alok was a 93 batch IAS. During the tenure of the previous Gehlot government, he went on deputation from Rajasthan to Delhi, where he was responsible for being an NHAI member. After this he was the Additional Secretary in NDMA, and in the beginning of the year 2024, he again came to his home cadre, Rajasthan. He was first posted as Principal Resident Commissioner. A month later, he was entrusted as Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Energy. Alok was from Bihar-Patna. He had done B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma has expressed grief over his death through a post on his social media account. He wrote that the news of the death of Alok, a senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service and Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department of the state, is very sad. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense sorrow.

Former CM Ashok Gehlot has also expressed grief over the death of Alok by posting on his social media handle X. He wrote- The sudden death of Alok, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department of Rajasthan, a senior IAS, is very sad. Alok was known as a capable officer. His services will always be remembered. I pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and courage to the family members.
