BCCI did not give rest to Shubman Gill as soon as he returned from England tour, these players of Indian team will also have to play Duleep Trophy

The upcoming 2025-26 season of Indian domestic cricket is going to start, and it will start with the Duleep Trophy, the most prestigious tournament in red-ball cricket. For this, the squads of all six teams have been revealed. As soon as he came back from the England tour, Indian Test captain Shubman Gill has been entrusted with an important task by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and appointed as the captain of the North Zone.

Shubman Gill will be witnessed playing the role of North Zone team captain for the Duleep Trophy 2025. Gill's captaincy debut in Test cricket has also been very amazing, wherein he even scored a record 754 runs from the bat on the England tour, and Team India also completed the series 2-2 under his captaincy.

Apart from Gill, the North Zone team also includes Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Anshul Kamboj. All these players were part of the Indian team in the England tour. Apart from them, Indian wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel has been appointed as the captain of the Central Zone team. Kuldeep Yadav is also in this team. However, Kuldeep did not get a chance to play a single match against England. Jurel played only one match. It was believed that keeping the Asia Cup in mind, these star players could be given rest from domestic cricket. But BCCI has not done so.
