In the tenth match of IPL 2026, the Lucknow Super Giants won against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by five wickets. In spite of the loss, their captain, Ishan Kishan, applauded the bowling of his players. The Lucknow Super Giants chased down the score of SRH, which was 157 runs, in one ball only.
Ishan Kishan said, "I think the bowlers did a great job today. They bowled in the right areas, as per the plan. Credit also goes to the fielders, who put in their best efforts. In a tournament like this, one or two boundaries can change the course of a match, but I am happy with the way we fought." At one point, SRH were in trouble, losing four wickets for 26 runs. However, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy put on a crucial 116-run partnership for the fifth wicket to take the team to 156. Klaasen scored 62, while Nitish contributed 56.
Kishan praised this partnership, saying, "The pressure increases after the loss of the first four wickets. The way Klaasen and Nitish handled the team was excellent and exactly what was needed." He also acknowledged that the team's batting still needs improvement. "We need to work on our batting, because in many matches we have made the chase easy for the opposition." Meanwhile, after the victory, LSG captain Rishabh Pant praised the team. Pant played an unbeaten captaincy innings of 68 runs from 50 balls.
