Only two batsmen have the record of scoring a century in the Asia Cup of T20 format. One of them is Virat Kohli, the other is Babar Hayat. Coincidentally, both batsmen have a score of 122 runs against their name. This great Indian batsman scored this classic innings against Afghanistan on 8 September 2022. But during that Asia Cup, the Indian team got knocked out from the Super 4 stage itself.

Kohli arrived at the ground as an opener batsman with captain KL Rahul. There was a 119-run partnership between both batsmen in 12.4 overs. KL Rahul was dismissed after hitting 62 runs in 41 balls, whereas Kohli scored an unbeaten 122 runs in 61 balls with the support of six sixes and 12 fours. On the back of these batsmen, India made 212 runs for the loss of two wickets.

In response, the Afghanistan team could score only 111 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated overs. Ibrahim Zadran added 64 runs to the team's account. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took five wickets for just four runs in four overs from India's side. India won the match by 101 runs.

Babar Hayat scored a century against Oman on 19 February 2016 for Hong Kong. Oman, who came to bat first in the match, scored 180 runs for the loss of five wickets. Jatinder Singh scored the highest 42 runs for the team, while Aamir Ali played an unbeaten innings of 32 runs.
