It may be noted that the severe heatwave continues in Rajasthan; however, rainfall and thunderstorms have made life difficult for people. It may be mentioned that the rainfall and thunderstorms had affected most regions in the state on Saturday night, resulting in uprooted trees and poles in several places. The capital city of Jaipur witnessed a change in weather condition, with rains and winds blowing strongly in the evening.

The Meteorological Department claims that due to the active western disturbance, the maximum temperature in most parts of the state will come down in the coming days. Rain accompanied by strong winds are expected in many regions, providing a break from the scorching heat.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Churu, and Didwana-Kuchaman districts, predicting heavy rain with winds of 30 to 40 kmph. An orange alert has been issued for Bikaner, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Churu, Didwana-Kuchaman, Hanumangarh, Nagaur, and Sriganganagar districts for May 4th, where strong thunderstorms and rain are expected.
