The third match of the Anderson Tendulkar Trophy 2025 has also come to a thrilling point. Following the batting of England in the first innings, which was beyond expectations, the Indian team started well but Jaiswal failed to stay long and was out after making 13 runs. Previously, England's first innings were limited to 387 runs. Veteran batsman Joe Root had an innings of 104 runs, and Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse made half-centuries. Even though the state of the England team was such that even 300 runs seemed impossible, but India committed some such errors, because of which England arrived at around 400. Jasprit Bumrah picked five wickets for India, and Mohammad Siraj and Nitish Kumar Reddy picked 2-2 wickets each.

England started the second day's play at 251 runs for four wickets. Wickets fell quickly in the morning and England lost three more wickets till 271. Root, who was unbeaten on 99 on the first day, was out at 104, Stokes at 44 and Chris Woakes at zero. Jasprit Bumrah took the wickets of all three. After this, wicketkeeper-batsman Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse shared an 84-run partnership for the eighth wicket. Siraj broke this partnership by dismissing Smith at a score of 51. At that time the team's score was 355. Archer was out at a score of 370 as the ninth wicket. By bowling him, Bumrah took his fifth wicket. Brydon Cars was dismissed on a score of 387 as the last wicket. Cars was dismissed after scoring 56 runs. He was dismissed by Siraj. England's innings ended in the second session.

The lower order batsmen of the opposition team have always been the problem of the Indian team. Here too, the Indian team had taken seven wickets for 271 in England's innings. But, the last three wickets added 116 runs and brought the team to a respectable position. Except Jasprit Bumrah, the rest of the bowlers were not effective. The Indian team again did poor fielding and dropped many catches. If the catches had not been dropped, England's innings could have been limited to under 300 runs.

The dropping of 2 catches in the same over of Mohammed Siraj and then the failures of Akash Deep and KL Rahul in the field helped England reach 387.
