US tennis ace Venus Williams, who was back on the court after a year, was knocked out of the DC Open in the second round on Friday. She couldn't win her second successive match since 2019.
Venus lost 6-2, 6-2 to world No. 24 Magdalena Frech of Poland in the second-round encounter. Seven-time Grand Slam title-winner Venus commented after the match that I had a lot of fun playing here. Of course, the result was against me but, I was able to learn a lot here. The beauty of sports and life is that you never cease learning.
Venus won a minimum of two matches in the Cincinnati Open in August 2019. She then won three on a run before losing to Madison Keys in the quarterfinals.
