Total 118.99 crore telecom subscribers in the country by December 2024, Jio added the most customers
TRAI Report: Reliance Jio Infocomm led with 47.65 crore subscribers, followed by Bharti Airtel with 28.93 crore and Vodafone Idea with 12.63 crore subscribers in second and third positions.
The TRAI report released on Tuesday said the total telephone subscriber base in India grew marginally to 118.99 crore in December 2024, with Jio adding the most subscribers in mobile and fixed-line segments. The total telephone subscribers in November stood at 118.71 crore, as per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Reliance Jio Infocomm led the list with 47.65 crore subscribers, followed by Bharti Airtel with 28.93 crore and Vodafone Idea with 12.63 crore subscribers at second and third spots.
While urban phone subscribers increased from 65.98 crore in November to 66.33 crore in December, rural subscribers decreased from 52.72 crore to 52.65 crore during the period.
