Xiaomi's new foldable phone design revealed, cover screen will be 4.01-inch; will be launched on June 26

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is set to launch this week as the successor to the Xiaomi Mix Flip of last year. Xiaomi released new teasers on their social media handle as part of pre-launch promotions, giving a glimpse of the appearance and functionalities of their upcoming clamshell foldable smartphone. Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is officially confirmed to have a 4.01-inch cover screen and a 6.86-inch internal display. Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and will come with a 5165mAh battery. Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 also appeared on the benchmarking platform, Geekbench.

Xiaomi's latest Weibo teasers have confirmed that the Mix Flip 2 will come in at least four color options - Black, Gold, Green, and Purple. The marketing names of these shades have not been revealed yet. The design language of the phone is similar to its previous model. According to the teaser released, it will get a 4.01-inch cover display with 3200 nits peak brightness. Xiaomi claims that more than 500 apps will work on the cover screen. It will also have a 6.86-inch main display.

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It will have a 5165mAh battery, which will support 50W wireless charging, which is an upgrade from the Mix Flip's 4780mAh battery. The foldable is confirmed to have a metal midframe.
