iPhone should have this much RAM for Apple Intelligence otherwise this feature will not work
Apple Intelligence: An important news about Apple Intelligence is that if your iPhone has 4 GB of RAM, then only you will be able to use Apple Intelligence. If there is less RAM than this, then you will not be able to use Apple Intelligence on your iPhone.
If you are also waiting for Apple Intelligence in your iPhone, then this is an important news for you. Apple is going to release iOS 18.1 soon, after which all iPhone models will get support for Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence is Apple's AI tool which will be used for many tasks in iPhone.
As its support document list notes, Apple Intelligence will go live on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models, as well as on M1 and later iPad and Mac models. iPhone models will be required to at least have up to 4GB of storage to install and utilize the features brought by Apple Intelligence. What is not clear, though, is how much more storage will be taken in the future by features using AI. That need is likely to expand to 8GB in the coming 12 months without surprise.
