The competition for the Super Six stage of the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2026 has heated up. Four teams have already qualified for the Super Six stage, but 12 teams are still in the running. Although four teams have already qualified for the next stage, none of the teams have been eliminated yet.

England has qualified for the Super Six stage from Group C, whereas Afghanistan has qualified for the Super Six stage from Group D, which is the first team to qualify.

Of the 16 teams, 12 will advance to the Super Six stage, with only one team from each group disqualified. From Group D, Tanzania is expected to be eliminated from the Super Six stage. From Group C, either Scotland or Zimbabwe will be eliminated, while England, Pakistan, and another team are likely to advance to the Super Six stage.

Regarding Group B, the USA has played two matches but has not won a single one, making it a likely elimination. New Zealand and Bangladesh are also likely to advance to the next round. Australia and Ireland, from the same group as the Indian team, are also expected to advance to the next round. Japan, along with Sri Lanka, may be eliminated from the Super Six stage.

The Super Six will also have two groups, with two teams from each group qualifying for the semi-finals. India is the most successful team in the Under-19 World Cup, having won the title five times. Australia has won the trophy four times, and Pakistan twice. India's performance so far includes a 6-wicket win over the USA in their first match and an 18-run victory over Bangladesh in their second. The Indian team will now play its final group stage match against New Zealand on January 24th.
