Special edition of Xiaomi's flip phone Mix Flip 2 launched, has diamond; know the price

Xiaomi has launched the Diamond Edition of its clamshell-style foldable phone, Mix Flip 2, in China. This device features a lab-grown diamond embedded in the midframe and is currently available in only one RAM + storage configuration. Its specifications match those of the older Mix Flip 2 model, which was released in June 2025. 

The company has not announced plans to bring this model to other markets. In China, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Diamond Edition is priced at CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs 85,200) and is available solely in the 12GB + 512GB variant. The limited edition includes a cupid-cut lab-grown diamond in the midframe, certified as genuine by the National Gemstone Testing Center (NGTC). The back features faux leather with a crocodile pattern and a metal Xiaomi nameplate. It comes in Cherry Red and Glacier White options and can be purchased from Xiaomi's China website.

Aside from its design, all features are identical to the original Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, including a 6.86-inch 1.5K AMOLED foldable primary display supporting 120Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nits peak brightness, and 300Hz touch sampling rate. It also has a 4.01-inch 1.5K AMOLED cover screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nits brightness, and Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 protection. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it offers 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2. For photography, it features a Leica-backed dual outward camera setup, including a 50MP Light Hunter 800 main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.

A 32MP sensor is available on the front for selfies and video calls. The device has a 5,165mAh battery supporting 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. It includes a dual 3D VC cooling system and Dolby Atmos-enabled dual stereo speakers. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NavIC, NFC, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and USB Type-C. When unfolded, it measures 166.89×73.8×7.57mm and weighs 199 grams.
