Russia will take arms in exchange for food from North Korea

America is now going to seek North Korea's help to meet the shortage of weapons in the Ukraine war. America's National Security spokesman John Kirby has claimed this. According to Kirby, Russia is going to give grain to North Korea in exchange for weapons. There can be a deal soon between the two countries regarding this.
John Kirby has said that Russia will send a delegation to North Korea to get this deal done between the two countries. He told that America is constantly keeping an eye on this possible deal.
John Kirby also said during the press conference that the deal between Russia and North Korea is against the rules of the Security Council of the United Nations.
Earlier, the US had accused the man from Slovakia that he was getting weapons from North Korea to Russia to fight the war in Ukraine. On Thursday, America also imposed sanctions on this young man named Ashot Markachev.
The US alleged that Ashot facilitated an arms deal between Russia and North Korea in late 2022 and early 2023. North Korea was given cash, commercial aircraft and raw materials in exchange for weapons being delivered to Russia.
According to the BBC report, there was a dangerous famine in North Korea in the 1990s. Since then there is a shortage of food. In February, experts warned that North Korea's food crisis was deepening due to a decrease in grain production. The situation there continues to deteriorate due to inclement weather and international sanctions.
It was shown from the satellite image of South Korea that in the year 2022, 18 thousand tonnes less grain was produced in North Korea as compared to 2021.
A report from North Korea in 2022 claimed that Kim Jong Un has asked people to eat less food to meet the grain shortage. According to the official media of North Korea, in the meeting of the Korean Workers Party (WPK), Kim Jong said – now work will be done on setting up factories in the country and people's lives will be improved. At this time the country is 'struggling with life and death'.
In the picture released by the media of Kim, he was seen much leaner than before. According to government officials, Kim Jong had reduced his diet in view of the shortage of food in the country. Along with this, he had ordered the people of the country to eat less food till the situation becomes normal.
