Rohit Sharma Returns to Domestic Cricket as Vijay Hazare Trophy Kicks Off in Jaipur

The list of India’s 50-over domestic matches, scheduled for Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025, is expected to start from December 24th. The final of this series, which starts today, Wednesday, will take place on January 18th at the Centre of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru. The participating teams of the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite Group C are: Mumbai, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, and Goa. These teams are expected to play their matches in Jaipur. These matches will include many stars, many of whom are already India players. Players such as Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Abhishek Sharma can be seen in their matches scheduled for 9 am of Wednesday at four separate stadiums in Jaipur.

Mumbai's first match will be played against Sikkim at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, starting at 9 am. Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma will play under the captaincy of Shardul Thakur in this match. Sarfaraz Khan will also be part of the Mumbai team. Rohit will play only two matches in this tournament, both of which will be played in Jaipur. The second match will be played against Uttarakhand on December 26.

In another match on Wednesday, Punjab will face Maharashtra at the Anantam Ground in Jaipur, starting at 9 am. Punjab will play under the captaincy of Abhishek Sharma. This team will also feature veterans like Shubman Gill and Arshdeep Singh. Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead Maharashtra. Prithvi Shaw will also be seen playing in this match. Prabhsimran Singh, who has made headlines in the IPL, will also be part of Punjab's team.
