Rajasthan Sees Widespread Rainfall as Arabian Sea Cyclone Triggers Weather Change
The effects of the cyclone are still lingering in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, this rainy spell may continue until the first week of November. Minimum temperatures will drop by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius.
The Arabian Sea cyclone is continuing to affect Rajasthan. On Thursday, rainfall was recorded in various districts, including the state capital Jaipur. The Meteorological Department predicts this rainy spell will continue into the first week of November, with temperatures expected to drop.
Last week's average rainfall in the state from 24th to 30th October was 19.6 mm. Precipitation during the week included light to moderate rainfall in eastern Rajasthan, light rainfall in western Rajasthan, and heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in eastern and southern parts.
Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Center, says that the rainy spell is likely to continue in some parts of the state in the first week of November, with above-normal rainfall expected in the southeastern parts. The weather is expected to remain dry for the next week, starting November 5th, and minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 2-5 degrees.
During the first week of November (until November 3rd), rain is expected in the Kota and Udaipur divisions of southern Rajasthan. Rain is also expected in Jodhpur, Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, and Bharatpur divisions on November 3rd and 4th. Minimum temperatures in the southeastern regions are expected to drop by 2-3 degrees in the first week of November. During the second week, minimum temperatures in northern Rajasthan are expected to drop by 3 degrees.
