Low-pressure area formed in Rajasthan, heavy rain warning in eastern parts today; Know the situation

The weather in Rajasthan is once again showing changes. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning for the districts of Baran, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur on Thursday. According to the department, a low-pressure area has formed over the state, which will gradually weaken. Due to this system, the monsoon is very active in eastern Rajasthan, with a possibility of heavy rain at many locations today.

Meanwhile, the weather is expected to be clear in western and southern Rajasthan today. However, the monsoon seems to be strengthening in the eastern regions. Over the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall on Wednesday was recorded in Dholpur, with about two inches of rain.

Rain-related incidents have disturbed the state over the past three days. So far, 20 people have died in accidents. A student preparing for JEE was swept away by the flow of a waterfall in Bundi. It was reported that he was standing under the waterfall taking a selfie when he was carried away by the strong current. His body was recovered after about eight hours of search. An elderly man drowned in the river in Tonk district, while a young man who went to bathe in the Gambhir River in Karauli also died. In Jaipur, a coaching bus got stuck in a water-filled pit near the highway, putting the lives of the children at risk. Fortunately, everyone was evacuated safely in time.
