Chittorgarh News: Begu police station of the district has taken the second major action against smugglers within 24 hours and seized more than seven quintals of doda chura. The smugglers were carrying these drugs under the cover of wheat straw.
Begu police station of the district made history by making a second big success in 24 hours by taking action against illicit drug smuggling. On Saturday evening, as a part of an action, police recovered over seven quintals of doda chura. The accused smuggler was smuggling the illegal substance under a straw's guise. The police, a day prior to it, recovered over 9 quintals of doda chura.
Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi informed that in accordance with instructions from Police Headquarters, a campaign against illegal drug smuggling in the district was underway. In a series of operations, a police force headed by Begu CI Shivlal Meena Saturday night intercepted a highway parking place in Menal border area along Kota National Highway-27.
During the blockade, a pickup vehicle loaded with wheat straw was seen coming from Ladpura towards Menal. When the police signaled the vehicle to stop, the driver tried to flee with the vehicle but the police team surrounded him from all sides and caught him.
