In the midst of this fog, light to moderate cold waves have also made their appearance in the state of Rajasthan. The effect of these cold waves has been that the minimum temperatures have fallen to 0 to 3 degrees in Shekhawati, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, and Udaipur divisions. The intensity of the cold has also increased in the mornings and evenings, with the minimum temperatures plunging to below 5 degrees in many parts of the state. The minimum temperature of 3.7 degrees was recorded in the state at Nagaur on Wednesday. The Fatehpur, Lunkaransar, and Dungarpur districts recorded 3.8, 4.3, and 4.9 degrees respectively. The effect of the cold wave brought by the wind has also made the cold intense in the mornings and evenings in the Shekhawati areas of Sikar, Fatehpur, Churu, and Pilani, along with Nagaur and Bikaner.

Fog continues to affect northwestern Rajasthan. Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bikaner experienced dense fog on Wednesday, disrupting normal life. According to weather experts, the weather is expected to remain clear in the state for the next one or two days. The fog is also contributing to an increase in road accidents in the state. Air and rail transport is also being affected. On Thursday, some domestic flights arriving at Jaipur Airport were delayed. However, a new western disturbance is expected to develop in North India from December 18-19. As a result, scattered light clouds may appear in the northwestern districts of Rajasthan between December 19 and 22. Meanwhile, in other parts of the state, the weather remained clear on Wednesday, with bright sunshine throughout the morning. Due to the bright sunshine, maximum temperatures in many cities increased by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius. Barmer recorded a high of 32 degrees Celsius and Jodhpur 30.9 degrees Celsius.
