Rain and Dense Fog Forecast in Rajasthan; IMD Issues Alerts for Multiple Districts

Rajasthan Weather Today: The first Mawth of the season in Rajasthan is expected on Wednesday. Light rain is expected in several districts, while a dense fog alert has been issued in 18 districts since January 1.

Amidst the effects of the cold wave and fog in Rajasthan, the weather is now set to change. The first Mawth of the season is expected on Wednesday. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain or drizzle is expected in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Phalodi, and Sriganganagar areas. A period of dense fog is expected to begin in the state from January 1, which could continue for the next two to three days. The Meteorological Department has issued a fog alert for 18 districts of the state on January 1.

During the last 24 hours, light fog prevailed in some districts in the eastern and northern parts of the state. However, a slight increase in minimum temperatures was recorded due to weakening of cold winds. The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 4°C in Fatehpur.

While most cities experienced sunny weather on Tuesday, the day temperature remained below 30 °C due to the cold. Chittorgarh recorded the highest maximum temperature of 29 °C. The maximum temperature in the state was 28.2 °C in Barmer, 27.6 °C in Jaisalmer, and 24 °C in Jaipur.

A yellow alert for rain has been issued for Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Nagaur, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, and Tonk.

Temperatures fluctuated in major cities across the state on December 30. Ajmer recorded a maximum temperature of 25.5 °C and a minimum of 10.2 °C. The temperature in Alwar was 23 degrees, while in Jaipur, the maximum was recorded at 24 degrees and the minimum at 10 °C. In Pilani the day temperature was 27.5 and night temperature was 7 degrees. In Sikar the maximum was recorded at 25.5 and minimum at 6.5 degrees. In Kota the temperature was 23.6 and 9.1 degrees. Chittorgarh recorded the highest maximum temperature of the state at 29 degrees, while the minimum was 8.6 degrees. In Udaipur the maximum was 26.5 and minimum at 9.5 degrees, in Barmer 28.2 and 12 degrees, in Jaisalmer 27.6 and 12.8 degrees and in Jodhpur 27.5 and 10.9 °C were recorded. Similarly, in Bikaner the maximum temperature was 27.4 and minimum at 12.9 degrees. The temperature in Churu was recorded at 26.6 and 7.2 degrees, in Baran at 24.4 and 7.3 degrees and in Jalore at 26.1 and 8.2 degrees. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Sirohi were 20.4 and 7.4 °C. Fatehpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of the state at 4 degrees, while the day temperature was 26.1 degrees. The temperature in Karauli was recorded at 21.5 and 8.8 degrees, in Dausa at 24.9 and 9 degrees, in Pratapgarh at 25.7 and 11.1 degrees, in Jhunjhunu at 25.4 and 8.2 degrees and in Pali at 25.1 and 6.9 °C.
