Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Launches Clean Toilet Challenge, ₹1,000 Reward for Users
FASTag Reward: The government has launched a unique challenge for people traveling on Indian highways. Now, reporting dirt on highways will contribute to road cleanliness and be beneficial for their pockets.
MoRTH has initiated the 'Clean Toilet Picture Challenge' campaign. Travelers can get rewarded with prizes for playing the role of digital sleuths and reporting photos of any untidy toilet or other issues. Simultaneously, NHAI has announced April 10 as the deadline to digitize all toll collections.
As per MoRTH, uploading pictures of dirty toilets on Highwayatra's app will earn ₹1,000 FASTag credit. From April 10, there will be no cash transactions for toll payments at toll plazas. Only FASTag and UPI will accept toll payments. It is important to highlight that there is a fine on UPI payments.
The Ministry has decided to enlist the help of travelers to maintain cleanliness on highways. If a traveler notices a dirty toilet at a toll plaza, they should take a photo and upload it to the HighwayYatra app. If the photo is verified as correct, they will receive a FASTag credit of ₹1,000 in their account as a reward.
