Police team attacked in Kerala's Idukki district, three officers injured; Four accused arrested

A police team was attacked by some people on Monday morning in the Idukki district of Kerala. Three police officers were injured in this attack. Four people have been arrested for carrying out the incident.

A civil police officer (CPO) suffered knife injuries in the attack that took place this morning in the Chinnakanal area of Idukki and underwent surgery at a local hospital, police said. The CPO is still hospitalized but out of danger, he said. Two other officers suffered minor injuries in the incident.

According to a senior police officer of Kerala Idukki district, the incident took place when a five-member team from Kayamkulam in Alappuzha district had come to Chinnakanal to nab some accused people in two criminal cases.
