Chancellor Karl Nehammer said that this visit is a special honor as it is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister in 40 years. This is an important milestone as we are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations with India. We will have the opportunity to deepen bilateral relations and talk about close cooperation on many geopolitical challenges.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Austria. Ahead of the official visit, the PM said he was looking forward to discussing new avenues of cooperation with them. He further added that its shared values of democracy, freedom, and the rule of law are the fundamentals on whose base both countries would build an even closer partnership.
