L&T Energy to set up NTPC thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar gets approval
NTPC: According to the official statement of the company, this project worth more than Rs 15,000 crore is for the construction of Stage-II thermal power plants at Gadarwara in Madhya Pradesh and Nabinagar in Bihar. This includes contracts for the main plant package of a 2x800 MW thermal power plant at Gadarwara in LNTP and a 3x800 MW plant at Nabinagar.
On Tuesday, L&T Energy Carbonlite Solutions, a business unit of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), said that it had been granted permission by NTPC to establish large thermal power plants in India through a "Limited Notice to Proceed" (LNTP).
According to the official statement of the company, this project worth more than Rs 15,000 crore is for the construction of Stage-II thermal power plants at Gadarwara in Madhya Pradesh and Nabinagar in Bihar. This includes contracts for the main plant packages of the 2x800 MW thermal power plant at Gadarwara and the 3x800 MW plant at Nabinagar in LNTP. "L&T Energy Carbonlite Solutions has received a 'Limited Notice to Proceed' (LNTP) from NTPC Limited to set up thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar," the company said.
The scope will cover designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, installing, and commissioning of main plant components comprising the boilers, turbines, electrostatic precipitators (ESPs), and balance-of-plant systems and accessories. L&T shall also cover the associated mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil engineering related to these projects.
