Lenovo's new tablet launched in India, equipped with 7040mAh battery; Price starts at Rs 16,999

Lenovo has launched its latest budget tablet Lenovo Idea Tab in India. This tab features a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which is paired with 8GB RAM. This tablet features an 11-inch 2.5K display and a 90Hz refresh rate. Lenovo Idea Tab features a 7,040mAh battery with 20W charging support. Lenovo Idea Tab is also available in both Wi-Fi and 5G models. Besides this, it also comes with an 8-megapixel back camera and a quad speaker system with Dolby Atmos.

The Lenovo Idea Tab price in India has been fixed at Rs 16,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model, which comes with Wi-Fi support and the Lenovo Tab Pen. The price of the RAM and storage model is Rs 19,999, if you avail it with 5 GB support and the Lenovo Tab Pen.

Lenovo Idea Tab is already up for sale in the country on the Lenovo India website and Amazon. It is listed in Luna Gray color on the e-commerce website.

The new Lenovo Idea Tab runs on Android 15, which is based on Lenovo's ZUI 17 OS, and is confirmed to get two Android OS upgrades (up to Android 17) and four years of security patches till 2029. The tablet has an 11-inch 2.5K (1,600×2,560 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 500nits of peak brightness.

The new Lenovo Idea Tab runs on MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. Talking about the camera, the tablet has an 8-megapixel rear camera sensor. The 5-megapixel sensor on the front is for video calling and selfies. The tab also has quad speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning.

The Lenovo Idea Tab has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity. It has AI-based features like Google's Circle to Search. Apart from this, Lenovo's Instant Translate feature allows translating text in real time and the tab also supports Lenovo's AI Notes feature.

The Lenovo Idea Tab has a 7,040mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. The company claims that this battery can give up to 12 hours of playback time on a single charge. The tab can also be paired with an optional keyboard, Lenovo Tab Pen and Lenovo Tab Pen Plus (purchased separately). It weighs 480 grams.
