The MG Astor Facelift is launching globally tomorrow, August 26. In this facelift version of the SUV, many changes have been done. Hybrid technology can also be provided in it. It can also be brought into India after being introduced globally sometime later.
The company can bless the new Astor with a hybrid system. Actually, this SUV is planned to come fitted with the hybrid technology that is used in the MG3. With the help of which it will run on a petrol engine, motor, and Atkinson cycle. In this new system, a 1.83kWh capacity battery can be brought in for use in the SUV.
Many changes have also been made in the design of MG Astor Facelift, which has tried to give a new look to this vehicle. It will be brought with a sportier look than before, and the LED headlights, front grille, and bumper are changed in it. At the back too, the tail lights and bumper can also be changed, which will help in making the vehicle more aerodynamic.
The company can also add many new features to the new Astor. It can have a dual screen set-up, where infotainment and instrument cluster will be given. Also, a 360-degree camera, powered adjustable seats, wireless charging, and ADAS can be given in it.
JSW MG Motors also retails the Astor SUV in the Indian market. After taking this facelift version of the SUV to the global level, it can also be brought to India by next year. It is expected that the company can introduce it in Bharat Mobility to be held next year. In market, it will compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Tata Curvv, and Citroen Basalt.
