Redmi has hinted at the launch of a new device in India. The company has not revealed its formal title yet; however, it claims that the gadget will be available at Amazon India. Separate pages for the gadget are currently active on Amazon and Xiaomi India websites. The Redmi brand is building buzz around the themes of “speed” and “performance,” implying that the new gadget will concentrate on speed and performance.

Redmi has released an official teaser on X, confirming that the gadget will revolve around speed and performance. There has been no confirmation yet from the firm whether this is a new mobile phone or tablet, and if it falls under any existing or new lineup.

The name or specifications have not yet been revealed on the Xiaomi India and Amazon India microsites. However, the same message regarding speed is being given on both platforms.

The Amazon microsite also shows the text "Redmi S" on the left side. Redmi has not yet clarified what this branding means. It is expected that the company will provide more information about this new device in the coming days.

Some people on social media are speculating that this device could be part of Redmi's "Turbo" lineup, as the teaser emphasizes speed. However, Redmi has not previously launched Turbo smartphones under the Redmi branding in India. In China, the company recently introduced the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max.

The Chinese Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, while the Turbo 5 Max features the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. For photography, both phones feature a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The Turbo 5 packs a 7,560mAh battery, while the Turbo 5 Max packs a larger 9,000mAh battery. Both phones support 100W fast charging.
